• Responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining in-house and client facing systems:
• Writing effective, scalable code
• Developing back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
• Integrating user-facing elements into applications
• Test and debug programs
• Improve functionality of existing systems
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assess and prioritize feature requests
• Design and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
• Work collaboratively with design team to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

About you

• Relevant IT Degree (BTech ( IT), BSC or BComm) or Diploma
• 2+ years Programming Experience
• Proficient in Python Development
• SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Expertise in Python frameworks like Django, Jinja and Flask
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
